On My End
Matt Alberts weekly@webcom.com
On time? Could it be? Well, yes folks, I have turned over a new
leaf. My horoscope said today was a nine so I better make sure
it is!
The searching article is going along quite nicely. If anyone
has anything they'd like me to search for and compare, send it
to me. Marian is still working on her article although she was
held up a couple of days with hard drive problems.
The Site Index is done for April and there will be a few other
changes in the next few weeks, so look for those. Enjoy this
rainy day issue of the Weekly Bookmark!

The Bookers Homepage
The Index page is about me and my family, but it is
actually the starting point of a vast Genealogical
research center. Please don't start thinking in term of a
huge building with lots of information, I'm just getting
started. But, I have plans for pedigree charts, desendant
charts, links to other genealogical points of interest,
with just a smidgin' of history throw in. This is
definately a site that needs to be revisited at least
weekly.

HEART/LUNG Transplant Resources and More
The heart/lung transplant pages were created to educate
the public of the dire need for organ and tissue, to
answer questions regarding being a donor etc. The pages
offer resources as well as organizations that can offer
even more information in regards to heart/lung
transplants. The site is dedicated to the families who
have given the gift of life, to provide a better quality
of life for those in need a transplant. It is also
dedicated to those who dedicate their lives of endless
hours in providing a better quality of life to those in
need of a transplant. The site also provides the
statistics of people who are waiting for particular
transplant.
We have had numerous e-mail's requesting help on how to
contact, where to get other information etc, including a
man doing working on his dessertation, who has included
our site regarding his research. We have also had family
member contact us on where to get help regarding a
transplant list etc. The site was created for the memory
of our mother, who had a lung transplant, ( her death was
not transplant related ) she survived 13 months after the
transplant, and thanks to the wonderful work of the UCLA
Transplant Team, the ICU and MOU staff, our mother had 13
months of breathing like a normal person once again. They
and the precious gift from the donor made it all possible
for us to have 13 more months with a very special lady.
We know our mother wanted us to continue to make it known
of the need for organs and tissue, and we felt what
better way than to expose the need and information on the
internet.
